“Researchers have made significant strides in the field of power amplifier design. They developed an optimization method using evolutionary computation for broadband high-efficiency current-biased reverse load-modulation power amplifiers (CB-RLM PAs). The team proposed a comprehensive objective function combining multi-state impedance trajectory constraints with in-band performance deviations. They derived optimal impedance regions using load-pull simulations and integrated a multi-objective evolutionary algorithm with harmonic balance simulations to optimize design parameters. A broadband CB-RLM PA operating from 0.6 to 1.8 GHz was designed and fabricated, achieving efficiencies exceeding 43.6% and saturated output power of 40.9–41.5 dBm. This work confirms the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed optimization and design approach.”
