Ethics & Disclosures

FITEE is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and subscribes to its principles on how to deal with acts of misconduct thereby committing to investigate allegations of misconduct in order to ensure the integrity of research. FITEE uses plagiarism detection software to screen the submissions. If plagiarism is identified, the COPE guidelines on plagiarism will be followed.

 When you submit a manuscript to FITEE its content must not significantly overlap with any other papers from you or your co-authors’ groups that are under consideration or in press at other journals/conferences.

 Content published in FITEE is peer reviewed (Double Blind).

 Authorship

Authorship provides credit for a researcher's contributions to a study and carries accountability. FITEE has a “Contributors” statement in place. The contribution of every author is required to be specified.

Any changes to the author list after submission, such as a change in the order of the authors or the deletion or addition of authors, must be approved by every author. The author information should not be changed anymore after acceptance of the paper.

The corresponding author(s) should be responsible for the submitted paper in the entire process, from submission stage, to revision, publication, and to the stage after publication (contacting for queries about the published paper).

Acknowledgements

FITEE has an “Acknowledgements” statement in place (optional). The authors can thank anyone important in the publication of the work who does not qualify for authorship.

Compliance with ethics guidelines

FITEE has a “Compliance with ethics guidelines” statement in place. The authors should declare the competing (financial and/or non-financial) interests or declare no competing interests. In addition, research involving animals and/or human subjects should comply with international, national and/or institutional standards, and Informed Consent is also required.

Data/Code availability

FITEE has a “Data/Code availability” statement in place, currently mostly aiming at papers in Software Engineering.
